Choosing a Squishmallows holiday gift comes down to how someone wants to enjoy it: opening a surprise each day, collecting tiny characters, or cuddling a festive plush. I rank the 24-day Micromallows calendar first for its plush surprises and handy display size, while the Original Holiday 4-Pack with Ingred, Omar, Marilyn, and Luna is my pick for a ready-made gift set. For a single larger character, the 14-inch Holiday Fox is the simplest choice. The main tradeoff is clear: calendars offer more reveals but smaller figures, while multipacks provide several characters without a daily countdown and the Fox gives one soft centerpiece.

Key Takeaways
- The 24-day Micromallows calendar pairs 24 plush characters with a more display-friendly 2.5-inch size than the one-inch plastic Squish-a-longs.
- The Ingred, Omar, Marilyn, and Luna 4-pack is the strongest ready-to-gift set when character variety matters more than a countdown.
- The 14-inch Holiday Fox suits a buyer who wants one cuddly seasonal plush rather than several tiny figures.
- The Squish-a-longs calendar adds a ring accessory and collector’s guide, but its one-inch plastic figures are less suited to cuddling.
- Both holiday 4-packs have four named characters and ultrasoft fabric, but their different lineups make character preference the main deciding factor.

Squishmallows Original 24-Day Micromallows Holiday Plush Advent Calendar
I put this calendar first because its 24 individual plush characters make the holiday countdown feel like the main event, while the stated 2.5-inch size gives the figures a little more presence than the one-inch Squish-a-longs. The set includes holiday-themed Micromallows and names favorites such as Benny the Bigfoot and Cam the Cat. That combination makes it an easy pick for someone who enjoys collecting a character a day and arranging the figures afterward.
Compared with the Squish-a-longs calendar, this one prioritizes soft miniature plush over portability and an included ring accessory. It is also more of a countdown experience than either four-pack, which gives a recipient several characters at once rather than spreading the reveal across 24 days. The tradeoff is that 2.5-inch figures remain small, and the holiday theme may not fit a display someone wants to keep out all year. I would choose it for a fan who values plush collectibles and daily anticipation, not for someone seeking one substantial cuddle companion.
Pros:- Includes 24 holiday-themed plush characters
- Each Micromallow is specified at 2.5 inches
- A daily reveal creates a longer gifting experience than a four-pack
- Compact figures are suited to small displays
Cons:- The 2.5-inch figures may feel too small for cuddling
- Holiday-only characters may see less use after the season
- A calendar is less convenient than a single plush for immediate everyday play
Best for: Squishmallows fans who want a 24-day holiday countdown and small plush characters to display.
Not ideal for: Anyone who wants a large, huggable plush or prefers characters that feel season-neutral.
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Format:24-day advent calendar
- Number of plushes:24
- Size:2.5 inches
- Theme:Holiday/Christmas
- Character examples:Benny the Bigfoot and Cam the Cat
- Material:Plush
Our verdict“I recommend this calendar for a holiday collector who wants 24 small plush reveals rather than one larger seasonal character.”
Squishmallows Original Holiday 4-Pack – Official Jazwares Plush (Little) – Amazon Exclusive
This four-pack earns my Best Gift Set spot because it arrives as a ready-made group of named characters: Ingred the Purple Cow, Omar the Bear, Marilyn the Green Pickle Ornament, and Luna the Penguin. Each has a bio, giving a recipient more character detail than an anonymous assortment. The ultrasoft fabric keeps the focus on cuddly plush play, unlike the plastic miniatures in the Squish-a-longs calendar.
Compared with the other holiday 4-pack, this lineup has a particularly varied mix of animals and a pickle ornament character, which may appeal to someone who likes an unusual festive design. Unlike either advent calendar, it gives all four characters at once, so there is no daily surprise sequence. The listing does not provide exact plush dimensions, which makes it harder to judge how substantial the set will feel as a gift. Its seasonal designs also make it less versatile year-round than a non-holiday character. I would choose it when character variety and a simple bundle matter more than size certainty or an ongoing countdown.
Pros:- Includes four named festive characters
- Character bios add personality to the set
- Ultrasoft plush material suits cuddling
- The lineup includes a distinctive pickle ornament character
Cons:- No specific size information is provided
- The holiday character theme may be less appealing year-round
- The set gives all four plushes at once rather than offering a countdown
Best for: Gift buyers who want four distinct holiday characters with names and bios in one bundle.
Not ideal for: Shoppers who need exact plush dimensions or want a gift that reveals one toy per day.
- Brand:Squishmallows by Jazwares
- Format:Holiday plush 4-pack
- Quantity:4 plushes
- Material:Ultrasoft fabric
- Characters:Ingred, Omar, Marilyn, and Luna
- Character details:Each plush includes a name and bio
- Availability note:Amazon exclusive
Our verdict“I favor this set for gifting when four varied holiday characters matter more than a countdown or precise size information.”
Squishmallows Amazon Exclusive Holiday Fox 14” Plush
The Holiday Fox is my pick for someone who would rather own one recognizable plush than collect a group of tiny figures. At 14 inches, it is the clearest size choice in this lineup for a buyer who wants a cuddly character to hold or place on a bed. The ultrasoft fabric and included name and bio give it the familiar Squishmallows feel without requiring the recipient to manage a calendar or several small pieces.
That straightforward format sets it apart from both advent calendars: there is no sequence of surprises, but the Fox is a more direct choice for plush comfort. It also contrasts with the four-packs, which offer more characters but do not list exact dimensions. The stated size makes planning easier, though shoppers who want an especially large plush may still find 14 inches too modest. Its holiday collection design can also be less useful outside the festive season, and limited availability may make it harder to find later. I rank it below the more versatile group formats for variety, but above them for a buyer who has already decided on a single plush.
Pros:- A clearly stated 14-inch size helps with gift planning
- Ultrasoft fabric suits cuddling
- Includes a character name and bio
- Single-plush format avoids small loose calendar figures
Cons:- One character offers less variety than either four-pack or calendar
- The holiday design may have less year-round appeal
- The stated size may still be too small for buyers seeking a larger plush
Best for: Someone seeking one soft, 14-inch holiday Squishmallow instead of a set or countdown.
Not ideal for: Collectors who want several characters, daily reveals, or a plush larger than 14 inches.
- Brand:Squishmallows
- Character:Holiday Fox
- Size:14 inches
- Material:Ultrasoft fabric
- Collection:Holiday
- Character details:Includes a unique name and bio
- Availability note:Amazon exclusive
Our verdict“I recommend the Holiday Fox when a single, clearly sized festive plush is more appealing than a collection or countdown.”
Squish-a-longs Holiday 2026 Advent Calendar – Includes 24 Mini-Squish
This calendar is the most portable option here: it contains 24 one-inch plastic Mini-Squish, plus a ring accessory and collector’s guide. Those details make it better suited to carrying or sorting than the 2.5-inch plush Micromallows calendar. A recipient who enjoys tiny collectibles may appreciate having a way to attach figures to the ring, while the guide adds a reference point for the holiday character collection.
The major compromise is material. These are plastic miniatures, not cuddly plush, so I would not choose them for someone whose favorite part of Squishmallows is softness. Compared with the Micromallows calendar, this set favors portability and accessory-based play over plush texture and a slightly larger figure. One-inch pieces are also easier to misplace, and the product notes that completing all characters can require buying multiple sets. Its narrow holiday focus further limits year-round display appeal. I rank it below the plush calendar for broad gift suitability, but it is the sharper choice for a young collector who values tiny figures and carrying them around.
Pros:- Includes 24 holiday-themed mini figures
- Ring accessory supports portable collecting
- Collector’s guide is included
- One-inch figures take up little display space
Cons:- Plastic figures are not suited to cuddling
- One-inch pieces can be easy to lose
- Completing all characters may require multiple sets
Best for: Collectors who enjoy tiny holiday figures, a ring accessory, and a guide for their collection.
Not ideal for: Anyone seeking soft plush characters, larger figures, or pieces that are easy to keep track of.
- Brand:Squishmallows Squish-a-longs
- Format:Holiday advent calendar
- Number of Mini-Squish:24
- Figure size:1 inch
- Material:Plastic
- Character theme:Holiday-themed Squishmallows
- Accessories:Ring accessory and collector’s guide
Our verdict“I would choose this calendar over the Micromallows version only for a collector who values portability and plastic miniatures more than plush texture.”
Squishmallows Original Holiday 4-Pack – Official Jazwares Plush (Little) (Amazon Exclusive)
This second four-pack makes sense for buyers drawn to its specific character mix: Maritza the Cactus, Stevon the Golden Retriever, Clayton the Blue Cow, and Tinsley the Peppermint Latte. Like the Ingred, Omar, Marilyn, and Luna set, it pairs four named characters with ultrasoft fabric. The appeal is less about a different format and more about choosing which lineup better fits the recipient’s tastes. The cactus, dog, blue cow, and latte designs make this set feel distinct from the other bundle’s bear, penguin, purple cow, and pickle ornament.
Both four-packs include character names and bios, but neither gives exact plush dimensions. That uncertainty is a meaningful drawback if the buyer needs to know how the plushes will fit in a gift bag or collection display. Compared with the Micromallows advent calendar, this set offers fewer characters and no day-by-day reveal; compared with the Holiday Fox, it trades one clearly sized plush for four different personalities. The holiday styling can limit its use beyond the season, and the set is sold as a bundle rather than as a choice of individual characters. I place it fifth because its strengths depend heavily on liking this exact lineup, while the other formats make their use case clearer at a glance.
Pros:- Includes four different named Squishmallows
- Lineup mixes animal and festive food-inspired characters
- Ultrasoft material supports cuddly play
- Official Jazwares set with character bios
Cons:- Exact plush sizes are not listed
- Characters are available together as a set
- Seasonal styling may limit year-round use
Best for: Fans who specifically like the cactus, golden retriever, blue cow, and peppermint latte characters.
Not ideal for: Shoppers who want one particular character, individual selection, or exact dimensions for each plush.
- Brand:Squishmallows by Jazwares
- Format:Holiday plush 4-pack
- Quantity:4 plushes
- Characters:Maritza, Stevon, Clayton, and Tinsley
- Material:Ultrasoft, high-quality fabric
- Character details:Each plush has a name and bio
- Availability note:Amazon exclusive
Our verdict“I recommend this four-pack when its particular character lineup is the draw, rather than for buyers who need size details or a countdown experience.”
How We Picked
I ranked these five options by how well each serves a distinct holiday shopping need: a countdown gift, a multi-character bundle, a portable collectible, or a single cuddly plush. Since the product details do not give comparable sizes for either 4-pack, I do not assume those sets are larger or smaller than the other toys. I give credit to specifications that are stated clearly, such as the Micromallows’ 2.5-inch size and the Fox’s 14-inch size, and treat missing details as a buying limitation rather than filling gaps with guesses.
For this holiday-focused list, I also weigh what happens after the season. A character set may be fun to open as a gift but limited to festive themes; a small calendar figure can be easier to display or carry, yet less satisfying for someone seeking a plush to hug. I compare the two advent calendars by format and material, and the two four-packs by their named character lineups. The order reflects the best balance of holiday excitement, usable format, and clear information—not a claim that every option will suit every collector.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Squishmallows Holiday List
I would start with the recipient’s preferred kind of play, then check figure size and what is included. The word “holiday” describes the theme, but it does not tell you whether the gift is soft, portable, or meant to be opened over time.
Choose a countdown or an instant set
The two advent calendars build the gift around repeated reveals, with 24 pieces in each. That format suits a recipient who enjoys collecting gradually through the holiday season. The two four-packs give all four plushes at once, which is simpler for a single gift occasion and avoids keeping track of a sequence of calendar doors. The Holiday Fox is the most direct option: one character, no set to sort, and no daily reveal. I would choose based on whether anticipation, variety at once, or a single plush is the point of the gift.
Compare material and size, not just the character count
The Micromallows calendar specifies 2.5-inch plush figures; the Squish-a-longs calendar specifies one-inch plastic figures. Both contain 24 pieces, but they serve different purposes. The plastic minis are the portable collecting choice, while the Micromallows offer a soft texture. The 14-inch Holiday Fox is the clearest fit for someone who wants a larger plush, though it is still a single character. Neither four-pack lists exact dimensions, so buyers who need a precise size should favor the Fox or one of the calendars with stated measurements.
Match the character lineup to the recipient
The two four-packs are close in format, so I would compare their characters rather than assume one is larger or softer. The first includes Ingred, Omar, Marilyn, and Luna; the other has Maritza, Stevon, Clayton, and Tinsley. Their shared four-character structure means the deciding factor is which names and designs the recipient is more likely to enjoy. If a specific character matters more than bundle variety, the single Holiday Fox may be a better fit—provided a fox is the character they want.
Think about holiday use after the season
All five picks have a holiday focus, so none is the strongest choice for someone seeking a neutral everyday collection. The named characters and bios give the plush options a character-led appeal beyond the countdown itself, while the calendars also make the holiday reveal part of the gift. Consider whether the recipient will display seasonal figures, store them after the holidays, or carry small collectibles around. For someone who tends to lose tiny pieces, a single plush such as the Fox is a safer format than either calendar.
Account for missing listing details
The product information does not state exact sizes for either holiday 4-pack, so I would not choose one based on assumptions about how large its characters are. The Holiday Fox is listed at 14 inches, and both calendars give figure measurements. Also check whether the recipient wants soft fabric: the Squish-a-longs set is described as plastic, while the other plush items are described as ultrasoft. These distinctions affect how the toys can be used more than the holiday label alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Squishmallows holiday pick is best for a countdown gift?
I would choose the 24-day Micromallows Advent Calendar for a recipient who wants small plush figures revealed over the holiday period. It includes 24 characters listed at 2.5 inches each. The Squish-a-longs calendar also has 24 reveals, but its figures are one-inch plastic minis, so it is a better match for portable collecting than for plush texture.
What is the difference between the two advent calendars?
The Micromallows calendar contains 24 small plush characters measuring 2.5 inches, while the Squish-a-longs calendar has 24 one-inch plastic figures and adds a ring accessory and collector’s guide. I would favor Micromallows for soft, displayable minis and Squish-a-longs for tiny figures that can be attached to the ring. Both are holiday-themed and may be less appealing as year-round collections.
Which option works best for someone who wants a cuddly plush?
The 14-inch Holiday Fox is the clearest choice for one cuddly character because its size is specified and its material is described as ultrasoft. Either four-pack may also suit a plush fan, but the available details do not give exact dimensions. The plastic Squish-a-longs calendar is the one I would skip if softness and cuddling are the main priorities.
How should I choose between the two holiday 4-packs?
Compare the character lineups. One set includes Ingred, Omar, Marilyn, and Luna; the other includes Maritza, Stevon, Clayton, and Tinsley. Both are four-plush bundles with ultrasoft material and character names and bios, while neither lists exact sizes. I would pick the set whose characters better match the recipient, rather than assuming the bundles differ in scale.
Are these holiday Squishmallows suitable for use all year?
They can be kept and enjoyed after the holidays, but each option has a seasonal focus. The calendars are built around holiday character reveals, the four-packs feature festive lineups, and the single plush is a Holiday Fox. If year-round display matters, I would choose based on the character itself and whether the recipient enjoys seasonal décor outside the holiday period.
Conclusion
My first choice for a holiday collector who likes plush surprises is the 24-day Micromallows calendar; for portable plastic miniatures, choose the Squish-a-longs version instead. If the recipient wants four characters in one gift, compare the two 4-packs by lineup: Ingred, Omar, Marilyn, and Luna in one, or Maritza, Stevon, Clayton, and Tinsley in the other. For someone who mainly wants one soft, clearly sized plush, I would pick the 14-inch Holiday Fox. The right option depends less on the shared holiday theme than on whether the recipient values a countdown, a group of characters, or a single cuddle companion.
